Police Blotter: Utility trailer stolen from work site

An attempt-to-locate alert is out for a black 5-by-8-foot utility trailer stolen sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday.

The trailer, worth approximately $300, was taken from a work site at a residence on the 1100 block of 26th Street West in Dickinson. It was reported missing Thursday afternoon.

Man arrested for marijuana after violating ex-wife’s protection order

Officers arrested a Dickinson man after he repeatedly violated a protection order against him by texting his ex-wife.

Donn Greenwood, 48, allegedly texted his wife multiple times over the past week, according to a police report. Officers made contact with Greenwood on Thursday night as he arrived at his home on the 500 block of South Main after he sent his wife a message.

“Charges have been accumulating,” Dickinson Police Detective Terry Oestreich said.

Greenwood was found with less than half an ounce of marijuana in his possession, as well as marijuana paraphernalia. He faces charges of violation of a protection order possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A previous incident Sunday has been forwarded to the state’s attorney office for consideration of charges.

Man arrested after refusing to pay $183 bar tab

A Bottineau man was arrested early Friday after refusing to pay his bar tab.

Julian Vasquez, 23, told officers that his daily credit card limit was in excess, and he couldn’t pay his $183 tab at The Rock bar downtown.

Officers had been called to respond to individuals being belligerent. Vasquez was resistive to officers and said they “didn’t have the authority to arrest him,” Oestreich said.

Vasquez faces charges of disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing.
