Police Blotter: Man arrested for huffing chemicals in mall bathroom
A Dickinson man was arrested Wednesday evening at the Prairie Hills Mall after he was found huffing chemicals in the bathroom.
A can of air-duster was found on Davenport to substantiate reports, Sgt. Kylan Klauzer said.
Davenport was arrested for inhalation of volatile chemical vapors, a Class B misdemeanor.
Man sustains minor injuries in rollover
A Dickinson man was treated and released for minor injuries Thursday morning after the minivan he was driving hit a light pole and flipped.
Ezequiel Juarez, 25, was driving near the 900 block of Third Avenue West around 4 a.m. when authorities say he fell asleep and hit the pole. His car flipped and came to rest on its roof.
Dickinson Police were the first to respond; North Dakota Highway Patrol assisted. Juarez was discharged with care required.
Abandoned car catches on fire on interstate
A car sitting by itself along Interstate 94 mysteriously caught on fire Thursday afternoon.
Nobody was around the abandoned vehicle when a fire broke out near the South Heart exit. North Dakota Highway Patrol said the reason for the fire is unknown.
The interstate was down to one lane temporarily, but has since opened back up to two lanes. Dickinson Rural and South Heart fire departments responded.
