Police Blotter: Man faces charges for discharging firearm
A Dickinson man was served a warrant of arrest for reckless endangerment and criminal mischief Wednesday.
According to court documents, the bullet travelled through a wall and into the bedroom, where children were located, a Class C felony.
Morel also faces a Class B felony criminal mischief charge after one of the discharged bullets struck the buildings sprinkler system, causing large amounts of water to flow, which damaged the residence. Estimated damages exceeded $10,000.
A preliminary hearing for Morel is scheduled for June 22.
Dickinson man faces drug-related charges
A Dickinson man made an initial appearance on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and related drug paraphernalia Wednesday.
Robert Williams, born in 1976, is being charged with willfully possessing two grams of methamphetamine, which was found in his vehicle.
He is also facing a charge for possessing a scale, needles and baggies, which were recovered during the vehicle search. Both counts are Class C felonies.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 20.
Man arrested for inhaling volatile vapors
A 31-year-old Dickinson man was arrested for inhalation of volatile chemicals Tuesday afternoon in the Walmart parking lot.
The man was arrested on Sunday evening for huffing chemicals. Officers caught him inhaling vapors a second time Tuesday in the same location.
St. Luke’s resident reports assault
A 93-year-old woman reported that she had been assaulted Tuesday evening at St. Luke’s Home in Dickinson.
The suspect is an 86-year-old man, who police say, may have inflicted minor injuries to the woman.
Man arrested for simple assault
A 52-year-old Dickinson man was arrested for domestic violence-simple assault early Wednesday morning on the 1000 block of Third Avenue West Dickinson.
According to reports, the man pushed his wife, which caused her to fall backwards.
Police say the woman sustained minor marks as a result of the assault.
Woman reports she was assaulted by boyfriend
A woman reported she had been assaulted by her boyfriend Tuesday evening on the 1500 block of Mike Street in Dickinson.
Police say the woman had red marks on her arms as a result of the incident.
The case has been forwarded to the city attorney.
Woman suspects former roommate stole from residence
A woman reported property was stolen from her residence Tuesday evening on the 40 block of 10th Avenue West in Dickinson.
According to reports, the woman is missing $270 in cash and $100 worth of prescribed medication. She suspects a former roommate stole the items.
The case is under investigation.
Man suspected of stealing from Menards
A man is suspected of unwrapping several packaged items and walking out of the store without paying Tuesday afternoon at Menards in Dickinson.
Police estimate the stolen goods are worth about $65.
No arrests or citations have been issued, but the case is under investigation.
