Blotter: Vehicle reported stolen from Mike Street

• Two checks were reported as stolen from a vehicle on the 1400 block of Carroll Street on Friday. One check was written and cashed for $200. The other was written for $750 and was flagged. The case is under investigation.

• Multiple items, including a snowmobile gear bag, a pair of boots, multiple helmets, a pair of snowpants and other items were reported missing from a garage on the 700 block of Eighth Street Southwest on Friday morning. All of the items were worth an estimated $1,000. There are no suspects.

• A 34-year-old Belfield man was arrested for disorderly conduct by Stark County Sheriff's officers on the 200 block of Third Street Northeast in Belfield on Saturday.

• A debit card was reported stolen from the 2000 block of Sixth Avenue West on Saturday. The caller said they had accidentally left the debit card while at Four Seasons Car Wash and when he went back for the card was missing and all of the money had been taken out of his account. There are no suspects.

• Two individuals were cited for shoplifting after they attempted to steal $130 worth of items from Starboard in Prairie Hills Mall.

• A female was caught shoplifting almost $40 worth of items from Walmart on Saturday night. She allegedly entered the store without a coat on and then left with one on. The coat was valued at nearly $40.

• A 29-year-old Dickinson man was arrested for disorderly conduct-alarming acts on the 1200 block of Mike Street on Saturday evening.

• A 30-year-old Killdeer man was arrested for refusal to submit to a chemical test on Saturday night on the 1100 block of Villard Street.

• An individual on 51st Street reported they were missing $1,400 cash from their home on Sunday. There are no signs of forced entry.

• A female reported $500 missing from a room at Hawks Point on Monday. The case is under investigation.

• A person reported that items were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at CHI St. Alexius on Monday. He said he is missing $2,000 cash, a handmade hunting knife, a phone charger and a pack of cigarettes. There are no suspects.

• A 2016 black Ford Fiesta was reported stolen from the 1200 block of Mike Street on Tuesday. There are no suspects.

• A wallet was reported stolen from the 800 block of Box Avenue on Tuesday. He was advised to shut down his cards. The case is under investigation.

• An individual reported that multiple items, including a hair brush, mirror, $25 worth of quarters, a coat and a Bible were missing from his vehicle on the 200 block of Second Avenue Southwest on Tuesday. There are no suspects.

Sydney Mook has been covering higher education at the Grand Forks Herald since May 2018. She previously served as the multimedia editor and cops, courts and health reporter at the Dickinson Press from January 2016 to May 2018.  She graduated from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor's degree in journalism and political science in three and half years in December 2015. While at the USD, she worked for the campus newspaper, The Volante, as well as the television news show, Coyote News. She also interned at South Dakota Public Broadcasting and spent the summer before her senior year interning in Fort Knox for the ROTC Cadet Summer Training program.
