Second stabbing reported in Mandan this week
MANDAN, N.D. — Two people were injured in a stabbing early Friday morning, Sept. 7, in Mandan, the second knife attack reported in the city this week.
Mandan police were dispatched at 3:50 a.m. to a residence in Mandan for a possible stabbing, said Lt. Pat Haug.
Officers identified two people with injuries from a knife, a 25-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man. They were taken to a Bismarck hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, Haug said.
Police arrested a 17-year-old male on suspicion of two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The juvenile was being held at the Youth Correctional Center in Mandan.
Haug said the suspect and the victims were acquainted but he did not have information about the relationship.
On Tuesday, three people were injured in a stabbing in Mandan. Morton County prosecutors charged Cortez Ramon Lyons with attempted murder and aggravated assault in connection with that incident.
