Jeff Hewson unseated board President Kristina Ehlis with 225 votes to her 101.

Scott Monke won as a write-in candidate for the Kunze and New England townships seat with 235 votes in a race against incumbent Lynn Dvorak, who received 77 votes.

Running unopposed, Daren Rafferty earned the final seat with 270 votes.

The seat was left vacant after incumbent Scott Bieber didn’t run for re-election a year after he was appointed to the position.

The new members will take the oath of office at the board’s annual meeting in July, when the president and vice president positions will also be decided.

Ballot information was not posted on the Secretary of State website prior to the election. Votes were taken in and counted by an independent agency. Superintendent Kelly Koppinger said he expects the results will be posted to the New England school website Wednesday.
