North Dakota, Montana among least safe for workers

The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations reported this morning that Montana and North Dakota respectively filled the worst positions for worker safety in 2009, the most recent study shows.

Area OSHA Director Tom Deutscher said it has been an ongoing problem over the years and attributes the concern to less safety inspector which leads to lack of proactive safety awareness.
