Museum Center to host 'Picnic in the Park'
The Dickinson Museum Center will host a "Picnic in the Park" from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday at the Prairie Outpost Park.
The public is invited to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy an afternoon at the park. An inflatable castle and slide will be on site free of charge. Ice cream will be available for purchase.
There will be an opportunity to create a photo postcard in the Dickinson Museum Center's "Picture Yourself in History" photo booth.
Prairie Outpost Park is is home to five historic buildings and five new or reproduction buildings.
The Joachim Museum and the Pioneer Machinery Building will be open. The public is encouraged to visit the "Ralph Doubleday: Rodeo Photographer" exhibit and the "Improving Our Photographic Memory" exhibits at the Joachim Museum.
The event is sponsored by the Southwestern North Dakota Museum Foundation. The park is at 188 Museum Drive East.
