Dickinson and most area schools cancel Monday classes

All but one area school has canceled class on Monday because of forecasted frigid temperatures.

Dickinson Public Schools, Dickinson Catholic Schools and Hope Christian Academy, as well as schools in Belfield, Beulah, Billings County, Bowman County, Glen Ullin, Hebron, Hettinger, Killdeer, Mott-Regent, New England, Scranton, South Heart, Richardton-Taylor and Watford City called off classes and after-school activities on Sunday.

Beach will have school but its two rural bus routes will not run. 

The National Weather Service has issued wind chill warning for much of North Dakota through Monday. Cold arctic air is moving through the state, bringing life-threatening wind chills of as low as 65 degrees below zero.

As the newspaper's editor, he writes an occasional Sunday column, is a member of The Press' Editorial Board, contributes feature stories and breaking news, designs pages, and oversees the day-to-day operations of the newsroom and editorial staff. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports and action movies, exercises whenever his schedule allows, and spends every minute he can with his wife and son.
