Band-Aid Relief event to benefit Trinity
Arts on the Prairie of Dickinson is hosting the Titan Strong Band-Aid Relief event April 5 at the Astoria Hotel and Events Center to benefit the teachers and students of Trinity High School after the March 2 fire that left the building unusable.
There will be live music during the course of the 12-hour event, which runs from noon to midnight on the first Saturday of April, organizer Eric Smallwood said. The committee is planning other components to the event, like silent and live auctions, an outdoor inflatable playground and a dunk tank.
The event will be similar to the Trinity Mardi Gras fundraiser, in homage to the school.
“It won’t seem like we’re wearing it out because this is a special event,” Smallwood said.
The Astoria is donating the space for the event.
“We believe in giving back to the community,” Astoria General Manager Dominic Goodman said. “Anytime there’s an opportunity involved with education and giving back to the community we’re 100 percent in.”
Bands that want to play the event can contact Smallwood at 208-720-0113 or firstname.lastname@example.org, as can anyone wishing to help with planning or set up.
Donation inquiries can be directed to Janelle Stoneking at 701-690-1934 or email@example.com.
