United Express airplane buries wheels in mud at Dickinson airport

This reader-submitted photo shows the back right wheels of a United Express deeply buried in mud just off the runway. Check back later for more information.

A flight that landed at the Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport on Tuesday afternoon became stuck in mud while landing, airport officials said.

The United Airlines flight from Denver had landed safely and was heading toward the terminal when it became stuck in mud.

A passenger who called The Press said the flight’s passengers were unloaded on the runway. The passenger provided a photograph of the plane, which showed its back left tire buried in mud. Officials from the airport emphasized the plane stayed on the runway.
