Dickinson man arrested

for meth possession

A Dickinson man was arrested Thursday morning on drug charges.

Dickinson Police officers were called to assist the Department of Corrections with a search of a home on the 100 block of Fifth Avenue East. There they found drugs and paraphernalia to support the arrest of John Stephens, 25.

He faces felony charges of possession of methamphetamines and meth paraphernalia.

Two California men arrested for assault

Two men were arrested early Saturday morning after a bar fight at Liquid Assets.

Vincent Carlos, 21, of Porterville, Calif., and Sergio Rocha, of Lindsay, Calif., allegedly got into an argument with another male at the bar and moved the altercation outside, at which point the incident turned violent.

They allegedly kicked their victim numerous times in the head to the point where he lost consciousness. He was responsive by the time the Dickinson Ambulance Service arrived, and he refused to be transported to the hospital.

Carlos and Rocha each face charges of aggravated assault. They were taken into custody at the Southwest Multi-County Correction Facility.

Man arrested for assaulting girlfriend

Police officers arrested a Dickinson man Sunday afternoon for domestic violence after he assaulted his girlfriend.

Todd Rounkles, 28, allegedly choked the woman and hit her on her face, arms and ribs. Dickinson Police Det. Terry Oestreich said there was "about an hour’s worth of scuffle, and she had bruises over a large part of her body."

The alleged victim did not receive medical treatment.

Rounkles faces charges of aggravated assault.

Gladstone woman

arrested on drug charges

A Gladstone woman was arrested Sunday evening after she called to report a juvenile had been in the back seat of her car on the 600 block of Villard Street West.

There was no juvenile in the vehicle, but Dickinson Police officers did find methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle of Shelly Kadrmas, 48.

Kadrmas was arrested after the contraband was found and faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken into custody at the Southwest Multi-County Correction Center.

An Arizona woman was arrested for domestic violence Sunday night for assaulting her husband.

Baretta Redshirt, 27, of Tonalea, Ariz., faces charges of simple assault after she struck her husband in the face.

Dickinson Police officers had been at the 1100 block of Sims Street to respond to a report of a dog at large when they witnessed Redshirt strike her husband during a verbal disagreement.

The husband did not require medical attention. Redshirt was taken into custody.
