Dickinson area customers find difficulty with cell service

Cellular phone customers in the Dickinson area reported difficulties with their service Saturday. Service interruptions seemed to be limited to AT&T customers, though nothing was confirmed as of Saturday evening.

In a statement issued Saturday night by spokesperson Alex Carey, AT&T said:

"Due to a cable cut some customers in the Dickinson, North Dakota area may be experiencing issues with their wireless services. We are currently working to resolve the issue, and we will have more details to share as information becomes available. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers."

Western North Dakota cellular users have experienced issues in recent months, partly due to unique Oil Patch challenges, according to officials.
