Paul Romo then rear-ended Poindexter's trailer, totaling his 1994 Ford F350 pickup and injuring himself. He wasn't wearing a seat belt.
Tuesday evening at about 6:30, a driver rear-ended another that slowed suddenly to turn off Highway 23 about 3 miles east of Watford City.
