Terrorizing charges filed against Cobb, Dutton
CARSON -- Prosecutors in Grant County filed felony terrorizing charges Monday against white supremacists Craig Cobb and Kynan Dutton.
Each faces one count of terrorizing, a Class C felony. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office arrested Cobb and Dutton on Saturday after they walked through the streets of Leith carrying firearms.
Cobb bought up property in Leith, home to about 20 people, in hopes of attracting more white supremacists there and taking over the town’s government. Dutton is among the first to join Cobb in Leith, about 75 miles southwest of Bismarck.
A Grant County court clerk said documents related to the charges had not been signed Monday morning and remained confidential.
Cobb and Dutton are scheduled for bond hearings at 2:45 p.m. Monday. They are being held in the Mercer County Jail.
