Police probing death of man in Grafton

GRAFTON -- Police in Grafton are investigating the death of a 62-year-old man, who was found early Sunday morning.

Police and rescue personnel responded at 5:25 a.m. Sunday to the report of an unresponsive man on Fifth Street near Burgamott Avenue, according to a news release from Grafton Police Department.

The nature and cause of death are pending results of an autopsy. The body was transported to the forensic medical examiner’s office at the University of North Dakota for an autopsy, according to the report.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.

No other details have been released.

Grafton Police Department is being assisted in the investigation by the Walsh County Sheriff's Office, the North Dakota Highway Patrol and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
