Hearing on violence against Indian children set for Monday
BISMARCK -- The U.S. attorney general’s task force on violence against American Indian and Alaskan Native children will hold its first public hearing in Bismarck on Monday, the Department of Justice said.
It’s one of four public hearings around the country that the advisory committee will hold. Information gathered will be used to make policy recommendations to the attorney general in late 2014.
The Bismarck meeting will be at 8:30 a.m. at the Ramkota Hotel, 800 S. Third St.
Present at the meeting will be Associate Attorney General Tony West.
