Elks Teens of the Month for March named

The Elks Teens of the Month for March are Zachary Anderson and Briana Dolechek.

The award is based on multiple achievements — character, leadership, service and scholarship.

Briana Dolechek

Dolechek is the daughter of Dale and Jody Dolechek and a senior at Trinity High School. She has served on the student council, as an assistant chaplain and as a THS sacristan.

She is captain of the varsity football and basketball cheerleading squads. She performs as a percussionist with the high school concert band, pep band and Titan drumline.

Dolechek is a member of the National Honor Society, received two scholastic achievement awards, two Presidential Academic Achievement Awards, a National Band Association Outstanding Musician Award, a VFW certificate of merit for Outstanding Spokesman for Freedom, and a Western Cooperative Credit Union Star Student Award. She led a team of THS students for Dickinson’s first CanArtopia food drive.

Dolechek is a mentor for the Best Friends Mentoring Program, and works part-time as a culinary assistant at St. Benedict’s Health Center.

She plans to enroll at Dickinson State University to major in art education and minor in psychology. Her goal is to become an art educator. As a freshman, Briana created an art piece that was displayed in Rep. Rick Berg’s office.

Zachary Anderson

Anderson is the son of Billy and Tammy Anderson and a senior at Dickinson High School. He has participated in the Boy Scouts of America program, a member of Future Business Leaders of America and a member of the Academic team. He has worked with Mustang baseball, Dan’s SuperMarket, and currently the West River Community Center. He plans to attend college, perhaps majoring in mathematics.
