City of Dickinson issues travel alert
The city of Dickinson has issued a travel alert due to poor visibility, blowing snow and slippery road conditions.
Residents are urged to use extreme caution while driving and allow extra travel time if driving is absolutely necessary.
Crews have been out since 5 a.m. laying brine, applying salt and plowing snow. The focus is on Level I and II roads surrounding medical, educational facilities and major transportation corridors. The city is under a Blizzard Warning until 5 a.m. Tuesday, March 6. Wind conditions are likely going to require snow removal efforts continue to focus on Level I and II roads. Once winds subside residential snow removal will begin.
The storm is very dynamic and conditions can change with little notice. Please watch the city of Dickinson's Facebook page for future updates.
