Family: Prank 'gone wrong' causes shooting death in small western Minnesota town

Jean Fleck was born on June 23, 1928, to Ramona and Louis Lamont in Dickinson, ND, where she met the love of her life, Wilfred (Bill)Fleck in the nursery. She lived most of her life in Dickinson, retiring to Florida and then Colorado to be closer to her children. She was a loving wife and devoted mother. She left this physical world on March 8th surrounded by her daughters and husband. She is survived by her husband; sister, Joyce Keller; seven of her children (and their spouses), Tim, Colleen (Schweigert), Maureen (Krank), Dan, Casey, Kathy (Seidel) and Kelly (Sweeney); three step-sons, Curt, Carson and Byron Fleck; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

No funeral will be held and a wake will be planned. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, alz.org, and/or toast her and sing a happy song.
