Carla Marie (Rohan) Bacon, age 63, of Mandan, North Dakota, formerly of Wibaux, Montana, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 with her family by her side after a long, courageous battle with cancer. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the Silha Funeral Home in Wibaux, Montana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Wibaux with Father Xavier Arimboor officiating. A Rite of Committal will be held following services at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Beach. A full obituary will follow. Silha Funeral Home of Wibaux has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Carla was born June 20, 1954 in Glendive, Montana, the daughter of John and Reva (Kline) Rohan. She was raised and received her education in Beach, North Dakota. Carla graduated from New England St Mary's in the class of 1972.
On August 24th, 1973, Carla married Alan Bacon in Beach. They then moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, where their daughter Rikki was born. Her daughter was the love of Carla's life. She returned to Beach in 1997, and later moved to Wibaux where she worked at the Wibaux County Nursing Home as a caregiver. She continued to work at the nursing home until the fall of 2015, when her health began to decline.
Carla always had a smile for everyone, and a little humor to go along with it. She was a social bug, who had a gift of making everyone laugh. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carla was preceded in death by her parents, John and Reva; her brother, Rod and Rikki's father, Alan Bacon.
Carla is survived by her daughter, Rikki (Steve) Berreth of Mandan, her sister, Cely (Robert) Stagl of New England, North Dakota; her brother, Bart Rohan of Beach; her sister-in-law, Laurie Rohan of Beach, her mother-in-law, Ruth Etta (Petermann) Bacon of Glendive and numerous nieces and nephews.
