Henrietta (Senn) Nistler

Henrietta was born on May 16, 1934 in Mott, North Dakota to Frank and Rosa (Berger) Senn. Henrietta attended nursing school, and then worked in Obstetrics at St. Joseph's Hospital for 36 years.

She married James Nistler, the love of her life, on August 22, 1956 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dickinson, ND. In July 1990 Jim was ordained as a Catholic Deacon and he and Henrietta became part of a team of missionaries that went to Kenya East Africa to establish a mission sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Bismarck. They served there until June 1999.

Jim & Henrietta enjoyed their travels and visited many different countries, relatives and places of interest. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting, sewing, needle work, reading and playing cards.

Henrietta treasured family gatherings. They were blessed with eight children, 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband Jim, and children Jaylene (Kevin) Kovash, Janel (Barry) Schalkle, Connie (Richard) Dooley, Nancy Watkins, Laurie (Jim) Schneibel, Mary (Mark) Mallus, Peggy (Todd) Mayer, Ted (Deb) Nistler.

Henrietta is preceded in death by her parents, Rosa and Frank Senn, brothers: Don, Frank, Norbert, Leroy, Finian, sister Rose, 1 granddaughter Katelyn.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the African Mission of the Bismarck Diocese or St. Genevieve food shelf project in Centerville, MN.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 8th at 10:30am at St Genevieve Catholic Church, Centerville, MN. Arrangements are being provided by Bradshaw Funeral Services, White Bear Lake, MN. A memorial service and burial will be held in North Dakota in the spring.
