Arnoul Kordonowy

Arnoul Kordonowy, 77, formerly of Belfield, died Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Hill Top Home of Comfort, Killdeer. Arnoul's Divine Liturgy will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018 at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church, Fairfield, with Fr. Yurii Sas celebrating and assisted by Deacon Leonard Kordonowy. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, with a rosary & Panakhyda at 6 p.m., visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Arnoul "Arnie" Kordonowy was born February 21, 1941 to Pete and Helen (Evasiuk) Kordonowy in Dickinson. He was raised on the family farm north of Belfield. He graduated from the Dennis School in Billings County. He remained on the family farm until adulthood when he began his truck driving career. He drove truck for several trucking companies in the Belfield and Dickinson area. He had an amazing talent for driving an eighteen wheeler across the United States to get from one place to another without using a road map.

In the early 2000's, Arnie became disabled and became a resident of Hill Top Home of Comfort in Killdeer. He was grateful for a comfortable place to live and the care he received was wonderful. Arnie's favorite source of entertainment was playing bingo and watching the Vikings games.

Arnie is survived by his sisters, Pat (Phil) Havnik, Belfield, Linda (Harry) Chornuk, Watford City, Carlotta, Bismarck, LaVetta (Ed) Gonzales, Lakewood, Colo., Tena (John) Weinand, Hazen, Wanda, Rutherford, N.J., and Myra (Lee) LeCaptain, St. Cloud, Fla.; and brother, Ron (Tina) Kordonowy, Phoenix, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete, Helen and Viola Kordonowy; grandparents, Steve and Antonia Kordonowy, Bill and Mary Evasiuk, and Rone and Kate Miller.
