Dickinson used a quality performance for starting pitcher Brett Schweitzer en route to a 2-1 win over Warrensburg (Mo.) Post 131 on Wednesday.

Schweitzer needed 110 pitches to go the distance for seven innings, allowed one run on two hits and struck out three.

Dickinson’s bats supplied Schweitzer with a lead before stepping on the mound. Dylan Skabo, who went 2 for 3, scored the team’s first run in the first inning on a passed ball.

Skabo came around to score again in the third inning on a sacrifice fly from Tanner Hopfauf, who went 1 for 3 with a RBI.

The Roughriders also received hits from Luke Herauf, Dylan Wallner and Cole Anderson.

Jacob Terry drove in Post 131’s lone run on the game in the bottom of the seventh inning. Brad Cox also had a hit. Kye Denker, who lasted two innings, was tagged with the loss.

The Roughriders continue the Fike Wood Bat Tournament playing Independence (Mo.) Post 21 at 8 a.m. today.
