DSU women net seven in double-figures, win big

A notably balanced attack -- with seven Blue Hawks scoring between 10 and 15 points -- was the formula to a 58-point win Tuesday night at Scott Gymnasium for the Dickinson State women’s basketball team against Trinity Bible College.

Sydney Bentz led the way with 15 points, but Samantha Morgan added 14, and three others -- Ashley Bentz-Laub, Megan Klein and MacKayla Feeney -- netted 11.

For the game, DSU shot 47 of 88 for a 53.4 percent clip compared to just 19 of 57 for Trinity Bible College.

None of the starters for the Blue Hawks played more than 15 minutes, thanks in part to a 35-11 first quarter and a 52-21 lead at halftime.

Off the bench, Rachael McDonough had a game-high eight assists to go with six points. Megan Klein was tied for a team-high with eight rebounds in just 12 minutes on the court. Kate Golding added eight, as well.
