Homiston earns personal best at Minot Invite
MINOT — Midgets freshman Lola Homiston notched a personal-best mark as three members from the Dickinson High girls golf team competed at the Minot Invitational on Monday, August 27 from the Vardon Golf Club.
Slicing eight strokes off of her season-low score, Homiston shot a round of 81, finishing in a tie for 11th place. DHS junior Shelby Steier and eighth-grader Hazel Emter followed with scores with 106 and 116, respectively.
Bismarck Century was victorious in the team category with a collective mark of 312, nine swings better than runner-up Mandan and 12 shots ahead of third place Minot.
