Dickinson girls hockey shuts out Rangers

SIDNEY, Mont. — Dickinson High girls hockey saved its best play for last.

After breezing past Watford City 10-3 in their penultimate game of the season on Tuesday, the Midgets finished off their season with a 4-0 victory over the Richland Rangers on Thursday.

They scored two in the first, then tacked on another in each of the remaining periods.

Paige Schweitzer scored the first two, and Taia Klaman and Ali Lafond combined for the next two.

In net, Baylee Kram racked up an impressive 51 saves -- 17 in each quarter -- for the shutout.

“We finished off the season with two big wins,” head coach Al Takle said. “These wins are great building blocks for next year.”  

The Midgets finished their season 6-14 overall.
