DHS baseball sweeps Bismarck

BISMARCK — Dickinson High baseball, playing on the road against Bismarck High, won both contests 5-0 and 10-1 on Thursday.

The sweep of the doubleheader brings the Midgets record to 27-3.

In the first game, Kendall Jones threw a complete game, going five innings and allowing just one hit for the win. Treven Hopfauf was a perfect 3 for 3 with an RBI, and Cam Jorda added two hits, including a double, and an RBI. Shawn Steffan had a hit and two RBI.

Austin Boswell picked up the victory for the Midgets in the second game, tossing all seven innings, giving up four hits, two walks and striking out two.

Both Tanner Ouellette and Steffan finished with three hits in that second game, with Steffan scoring three of Dickinson's 10 runs. Shawn Stoltz and Lucas Jones both added two hits.

The Midgets combined for 21 hits in the two games, while the Demons had only five on the entire day.
