Dickinson nets 6 straight goals to beat Watford City

WATFORD CITY — The Watford City girls hockey team scored the opening goal, but Dickinson retaliated with six straight.

The Midgets used the six unanswered goals — including four in the second period — to take a 6-1 win over Watford City on Thursday.

Dickinson’s Brittney Chamberlain scored the first and final goals of the game. Cassidy Goodrich came on for the assist both times.

Kira Zastoupil supplied a pair of goals on feeds from Rachel Lantz during the second period. Abby Wandler added a second-period goal, while Paige Schweitzer tacked on an unassisted goal.

Tessa Dwyer supplied the lone goal for the Wolves. She scored the opening goal less than two minutes into the game.

The Midgets have a more than a two-week break before traveling to Jamestown at 6 p.m. Jan. 4.
