Jahner posts 19 as Trinity defeats Grovers

BISMARCK — The Dickinson Trinity girls basketball team ended its two-game losing skid.

Trinity defeated Fargo Oak Grove 44-38 during the Shiloh Christian’s New Year’s Invite on Friday.

With the win, the Titans (3-2) handed Oak Grove its first loss of the season. The Grovers are now 2-1 overall.

At the half, Trinity maintained at least a six-point advantage and after the third quarter extended its lead to nine points. The Grovers posted 14 points in the final 8 minutes, but the Titans responded with 11 of their own.

Rachel Jahner led Trinity with a game-high 19 points including four 3-pointers. Katelyn Grinsteinner supplied eight points, while Alanna Sickler had seven.

For Oak Grove, Tatum Holt was the only player to be in double figures with 10. Rachel Osmundson chipped in nine and Jordan Cain had eight.

Trinity returns to the court to play Bismarck JV at 11 a.m. today.
