Trinity tops Bearcats for 3rd straight win

GLEN ULLIN — The Dickinson Trinity boys basketball team is on a roll.

The Titans beat Glenn Ullin-Hebron 60-44 in regional play Tuesday night for their third-straight win and fourth in five games.

Led by Austin Deichert, Joe Mayer, Shawn Stoltz and Cole Wilhelmi — who combined for 44 points — Trinity went out to a commanding 24-6 lead by the end of the first quarter and maintained its double-digit lead for the remaining three quarters.

Trinity went 7 for 13 at the free-throw line and hit three 3-pointers, while Glen-Ullin went 4 for 9 and Mitchell Bettenhausen and Lucas Wagner scored more than half the team’s points. Bettenhausen had a game-high 15 points while Wagner contributed 11.

The Titans go back on the road next week to play Region 7 opponent Beulah at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
