Trinity basketball gets by Hazen

HAZEN — In their final game before senior day this Saturday, the Dickinson Trinity Titans (17-2, 9-0) traveled to Hazen (4-14, 2-9) and left with a 66-34 victory to stay perfect in Region 7.

Shawn Stoltz was the leading scorer with 16, and also added seven rebounds. Lucas Jones hit three three-pointers and finished with 15. Noah Sickler was also in double-digits with 10 points. Kendall Jones and Alex Scherr both had eight.

The Titans only committed seven turnovers and shot 30 of 51 from the floor.

The Bison didn’t score more than nine points in any quarter until the fourth when the game was already well out of reach. Trinity started hot, posting a 24-6 difference after the opening quarter.

Isaac Doll scored eight points to lead Hazen while Josh Bitterman, Jayce Zuern and Garrett Ward all scored seven.
