Jimmies sweep Dickinson State volleyball
JAMESTOWN — Although the University of Jamestown swept Dickinson State in three sets, the Blue Hawks lessened the margin of victory in each successive set, losing by scores of 25-7, 25-15 and 25-19 on Friday, Sept. 7 at the Hansen Center.
Freshman Anna Holen brought the power for the Jimmies, earning 10 kills, while Britta Knudson followed with eight. Knudson also had a team-high three blocks, followed by Cornia Ruud, who had two.
Meanwhile, sophomore outside hitter Alyssa Wisher earned the only two blocks for Dickinson State.
Junior setter Keera Stookey put up 10 assists, while freshman Karlie Clevland earned six. Junior Kadara Marshall and freshman Cassie North each tallied five kills, while senior Kylie Hadley earned four.
Led by Megan Gaffaney’s four aces, the Jimmies (8-1) earned nine service points.
