A school bus is loaded onto a flatbed after a Dodge Ram crashed head-on with it on Highway 22 three miles north of Dickinson on Thursday. The Ram's driver was killed, but his passenger and the driver of the school bus were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. No children were on the school bus.

Owen Kintzley, a Baker Hughes employee, cleans up trash Wednesday morning along Highway 22 in north Dickinson. He was participating in the North Dakota Petroleum Council's "Oil Can! Pick up the Patch!" program. About 100 volunteers participated in the event which was led by Dickinson's Marathon Oil.

Traffic signals will go up on Highway 22 at 32nd, 33rd and 34th streets Southwest, above, North Dakota Department of Transportation officials said Friday. The DOT said traffic could increase to the point where lights are needed at the intersections. The lights are scheduled to go up this summer as part of the Highway 22 expansion, which will turn it into a five-lane road.

Traffic travels through Belfield on the Theodore Roosevelt Expressway, also known as Highway 85, Tuesday. Officials are looking into design-build, which allows construction companies who are awarded bids to design and build the project. Though it is not allowed through North Dakota legislation, it could speed up the construction process and help improve the state's road system, said Cal Klewin, Theodore Roosevelt Expressway Association executive director.
