MADISON, S.D. — The Dickinson State men’s cross country team was tabbed as the preseason favorite to win the North Star Athletic Association title according to the coaches’ preseason poll released Monday.
BOWMAN — The Bowman County football team opened the season with a dominant victory over nonconference opponent Trenton-Trinity Christian.

The Dickinson State football season is less than a month away and tailgating activities help enhance game day. Guidelines for tailgating include for those individual who wish to drink alcohol and conduct activities. DSU will be checking ID’s and giving wristbands to those 21 and over. Tailgating will end at the start of the kickoff of every game.
Dickinson State head men’s basketball coach Justin Wetzel has announced the signing of 6-foot shooting guard Malcolm Whittington from Mt. San Antonio College (Calif.). Whittington is the second recruit from Mt. San Antonio for the Blue Hawks this off season. The first was 6-11 center Thomas Cowan, who signed in June. The shooting guard from Long Beach, Calif., was a key contributor for a program that was 27-2 this past season capturing the Pacific Coast Conference title. He he started four games and appeared in all 29 games.
