BISMARCK — The Dickinson High boys golf team used a quartet of mid-80s to take fourth place at Hawktree Golf Club.
FARGO — After three tough West Region duals, the Dickinson High girls tennis team rebounded with a win against Fargo South.
MINOT — The Minot girls tennis team collected eight of its nine wins in straight sets.
WASHBURN — In the first individual state-qualifier tournament, Mike Schmidt of Beulah and Dickinson Trinity’s Jaret Lee guaranteed spot at the North Dakota Class B state golf tournament. Schmidt and Lee each shot a 78 during the Washburn Invitational on Thursday. The Beulah freshman won by scorecard playoff. In team scores, Trinity won with a 335. Heart River ended runner-up with a 36 and Beulah posted a 368. Trinity’s Connor Friske supplied an 83, while Willy Jahner and Matt Pavek each had an 87.
MANDAN — The Dickinson High softball team extended its win streak to eight after a West Region doubleheader sweep against Mandan.
BISMARCK — The Bismarck St. Mary’s girls tennis team had its way with Dickinson High, taking an 8-1 West Region win over the Midgets on Tuesday. Dickinson’s lone win was in doubles as the pairing of Dynae Zubke and Lauren Jorda beat Kaitlyn Grossman and Mallory Donlin in three sets 6-1, 1-6, 10-7. Dickinson travels to play Minot High at 2 p.m. on Thursday. Singles: 1, Emily Bichler, SM, def. Meryl Kovacs, 6-2, 6-1. 2, Reagan Bradley, SM, def. Ireland Jung, 6-4, 6-0. 3, Lauren Botsford, SM, def. Ziria Rascon 6-2, 6-0. 4, Lauren Nordberg, SM, def. Dynae Zubke 6-2, 6-3.
MINOT — The Dickinson High boys and girls track and field teams cut time off state-qualifying events.
HAZEN — The Dickinson Trinity boys and girls track and field teams picked up two more state qualifiers and improved on some of its best times. Seniors Cole Wilhelmi and Cole Beck each qualified for the state meet in their respected events at the Badlands Conference Meet on Tuesday. Wilhelmi placed third in the 100-meter dash and qualified with a time of 11.42 seconds. Trinity’s Dawson Kram, who already qualified in the event, won with a time of 11.07 seconds.
KILLDEER — The Dickinson Trinity boys golf team collected the top spot and the team title during the Killdeer Invitational at Medicine Hole Golf Course on Tuesday.
The Dickinson State softball team ended its regular season on a high note.
