JAMESTOWN, N.D. - Two unidentified 15-year-old girls, one of them from West Fargo, were injured in a crash about 5:20 p.m. Friday, March 10, on Interstate 94 near Jamestown. The West Fargo teen was driving eastbound when the 2013 Ford Fiesta she was driving left the road and entered the south ditch about a half mile west of Jamestown, the North Dakota Highway Patrol reported. She then the overcorrected the car and it struck a support pole for an exit sign, the Patrol said.
WEST FARGO, N.D. -- A Fargo mother is accused of driving drunk with children in her vehicle. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Crystal Rowe, 45, after a deputy stopped her vehicle at 8:50 p.m. Friday, March 9, on Interstate 94 outside West Fargo, according to a news release. The deputy said she was driving 95 mph with four children -- ranging ages 2 to 13 years old -- in the vehicle.
BISMARCK—North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum appointed Shawn Riley to lead the state's Information Technology Department Friday, March 10. Riley, a native of Lanesboro, Minn., has worked as the section head of information technology for Mayo Clinic since 2014 and previously held other roles within the Mayo Clinic Health System. He will assume duties as the state's chief information officer April 17, according to a news release from Burgum's office.
PISEK, N.D. - The driver who was killed when his pickup crashed in a shelterbelt seven miles east of Pisek on Thursday morning has been identified. The body of Wyatt Feltman, 25, of Grafton was discovered early March 9 after a motorist noticed the wreck. Pisek is about 60 miles northwest of Grand Forks.
KILLDEER, N.D. -- A 27-year-old Dickinson man who was killed in a rollover crash that ejected him from a pickup early Thursday morning about 30 miles northwest of Killdeer in western North Dakota has been identified. The North Dakota State Highway Patrol said Dalton James, who was driving a 2002 GMC Sierra pickup, failed to negotiate a curve around 12:30 a.m. and drove off the west side of 111th Avenue Northwest. The vehicle struck a temporary guard rail, went down a steep embankment and overturned.
PISEK, N.D. - The body of a 25-year-old Grafton man was discovered early Thursday morning by a motorist after a pickup was found crashed in a shelterbelt seven miles east of Pisek. The North Dakota Highway Patrol said a 2014 GMC Sierra went off the road on 62nd Street Northeast sometime before 7 a.m. when the scene was discovered. Pisek is about 60 miles northwest of Grand Forks.
ST. JOHN, ND -- The Rolette County Sheriff's office is investigating a bank robbery in St. John. Authorities confirmed it happened Wednesday afternoon, March 8. Police aren't releasing many details but say they were on scene well into Wednesday evening. Sources say an arrest was made at the casino in Belcourt, N.D.
ARNEGARD, N.D. -- The 53-year-old New Mexico man who was killed Tuesday night, March 7, when his pickup collided with another pickup a mile west of Arnegard on Highway 85 in western North Dakota has been identified. The North Dakota Highway Patrol said a 1991 Dodge driven by James Martinez of Taos, N.M., was westbound when he lost control of the vehicle, colliding with an eastbound 2013 Dodge driven by a 50-year-old Palmer, Alaska, man. The Alaska man was injured in the crash, which occurred around 9:40 p.m. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.
