Lucille E. Barry, 91 of Grand Forks passed away Friday, June 19 at her home in Grand Forks. Lucille Estelle Westberg was born May 1, 1918 the daughter of Edward and Josephine (Hoynes) Westberg in McVille. Lucille married Norman Barry on Sept. 29, 1937 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lakota. They lived in California until 1945 when they moved to Larimore. They farmed near Larimore until moving to Grand Forks in 1970. She was employed with Griffith's Department Store and later with Naturalizer Shoes. She was employed with Plaza Jewelers until her retirement in 2000.
August Little Soldier, 94, of Zap, died Friday, June 19, at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT, Tuesday, June 23, at Prairieview Church of God, Beulah with Pastor Landon Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Little Soldier Cemetery, rural Zap. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. MDT, Monday, at Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah. August was born on Aug. 15, 1914, the son of Clarence and Wilemina (Perkins) Little Soldier. He was educated at Wahpeton, and Santee, Neb., graduating from Santee High School.
Funeral services for Glen Doe, 84, of Reeder will be Wednesday, June 24 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Reeder. Rev. Stephanie Swanson will officiate and burial will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery near Reeder. Visitations will be from 1 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23 at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Hettinger and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday morning.

On June 16, Rev. Herbert Schauer departed this life for the next in the presence of his family and his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Mary. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Hebron on Saturday, June 27 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in honor of Rev. J. Gordon Itrich, 84, of East Wenatchee, Wash., died Thursday, June 11. He was a former resident of Dickinson and had lived in East Wenatchee for the past two years. Gordon grew up in Hebron, and after graduating UDSU School of Pharmacy, took over the family drugstore in Hebron. In 1969, he accepted a missionary position and served in Kenya, East Africa for two years. Following another stint in pharmacy in Washington state, and another two-year mission term in Bolivia, he and his wife, Jean, semi-retired and operated Badlands Pharmacy in Belfield.
