Leary G. Getz, 71, of Bowman died on Thursday, July 9, 2009, at the Southwest Healthcare Hospital in Bowman. Funeral services for Leary were held on Monday, July 13, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Bowman Lutheran Church. Pastor Galen Strand and Pastor Charles Swanson officiated, with the burial at the Mound Cemetery. There was a time of remembrance at the Southwest Healthcare Long Term Care Center Chapel at 10 a.m. , Monday, July 13, 2009. Leary Gene Getz was born Nov. 13, 1937, in Rhame, the son of Oscar and Fern (Rue) Getz. Leary grew up and attended school in Rhame.
Mary Keller, 96, Parshall, formerly of Minot, died Sunday, July 12 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Parshall. Mary Ann Schnellbach was born Sept. 14, 1912, a daughter of Melchior and Barbara (Neigel) Schnellbach in Round Lake Township, rural Orrin. She was raised and educated in the Orrin area. Mary married Joseph Keller Oct. 20, 1931, in Orrin. They made their home on a farm northwest of Karlsruhe for 36 years. In 1967, they moved to Minot. Joseph passed away March 14, 2000.
Jeffrey T. Samson, 45, Richardton died Wednesday, July 15 at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Jeff's Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday, July 20 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Richardton with Father Boniface Muggli, OSB as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson and will continue at the church on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary and vigil at 8 p.m.
Mass of Christian burial for Elizabeth E. Berger, 53, of Baker, Mont. will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21 at St. John's Catholic Church in Baker, Mont. with the Rev. Father Thomas Tobin as celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow in the old St. John's Catholic Cemetery at Baker, Mont. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, July 20, with a rosary and vigil service at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevenson Funeral Home. Elizabeth (Beth) O'Donnell Berger unexpectedly passed away July 17 at St. Allexius Medical Center in Bismarck. Beth was born Aug. 6, 1955, to Ray and Verna O'Donnell.

Funeral service for Eunice Walker, 94, of Alzada, Mont. will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21 at the Christian Life Center at 2020 Vista St. in Belle Fourche, S.D. with Pastor Paul Howard officiating. Interment will be at 4 p.m. in the Walker family lot in the Pine Slope Cemetery at Belle Fourche. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Eunice I. Walker, 94, went home to her Lord at her home in Alzada, Mont. on July 10. Memorials may be made to the family as a memorial will be established.
A memorial service for Velma E. Wear, 88, of Hamilton, Mont., formerly of Ekalaka, Mont., will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, in the Chapel of Stevenson Funeral Home in Ekalaka, Mont. Velma passed away on July 9 at Valley View Estates in Hamilton after a long illness. Velma E. Wear was born at Ekalaka, Mont. on Aug. 24, 1920 the daughter of Frank and Lottie Heckathorn. Velma was united in marriage to Robert E. Wear on Nov. 23, 1939. They lived on the Wear Ranch until 1955. Renting the ranch, they purchased the Wear Hardware in Ekalaka and operated it as a family until 1994.
