One initiated measure of utmost importance to be voted on in the June 10 primary election is Measure No. 1. This measure is a proposed constitutional amendment placed directly on the ballot by the 2013 North Dakota Legislature. This amendment pertains to the initiative and referral process in North Dakota. This measure, if approved by the voters, would extend from 90 to 120 days the time period that signatures to place any initiated measure on to the ballot would have to be in the hands of the Secretary of State for verification before an election This is totally unnecessary.
