WATFORD CITY – A fire at a saltwater disposal well 14 miles east of here damaged equipment but did not result in a spill, the North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas Division said Monday.
The fire, reported by company Landtech Enterprises, occurred on Sunday, officials said. Smoke and fire damaged equipment, but the company reported that no fluids were lost.
The fire has been extinguished and the Oil and Gas Division sent a state inspector to the site.
