WATFORD CITY – The North Dakota Public Service Commission will hold a public hearing here Monday for a proposed natural gas processing plant in McKenzie County.
ONEOK Rockies Midstream proposes to construct the Demicks Lake Gas Processing Plant capable of processing up to 400 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. The $642 million plant would be located 13.5 miles northeast of Watford City and would be constructed on a plot of about 160 acres.
ONEOK’s gathering system would deliver natural gas from local oil and gas wells to the plant. Once processed, the natural gas liquids would be transferred to on-site storage tanks before being transferred to a pipeline.
The hearing is at 9 a.m. Monday at Teddy’s Residential Suites, 113 9th Ave. S.E., Watford City. Comments from the public must be received at the hearing to be considered part of the record.
