WILLISTON (AP) -- Gov. John Hoeven plans to meet with Williston leaders today about ways to beef up infrastructure in North Dakota's oil patch.
The Williston Area Development Foundation earlier called for a special session of the Legislature to address the problem, but Hoeven said a special session was not needed.
Hoeven on Tuesday will be meeting with Williston-area officials, legislators and business leaders to talk about state assistance.
Hoeven spokesman Don Canton says a proposal is being prepared in which state agencies would provide financial backing for the city of Williston.
