Cattle producer and former executive vice president of the North Dakota Stockmen's Association, Wade Moser of Bismarck, N.D., will be recognized with the association's highest honor, the Top Hand Award, during the 80th Annual NDSA Convention & Trade Show in Bismarck, Sept. 26.
The Top Hand Award is presented to those who have demonstrated "unselfish concern for humanity, country and the cattle industry, whose achievements and leadership have earned him the high esteem, respect and admiration of his innumerable friends and associates throughout society." Moser will be the 19th person recognized with the distinction in the NDSA's 80-year history.
"Wade is a consummate professional whose straight-forward, no-nonsense nature truly portrayed the hard-working, honest people he represented," said Jack Reich, NDSA president. "Throughout his tenure, his common-sense approach and unyielding work ethic earned him the respect of producers and policy-makers throughout the state and the nation."
"As staff, we saw firsthand his dedication to the industry," said Julie Ellingson, NDSA executive vice president, who worked with Moser for 13 years before stepping into the same role. "Whether lobbying state and national policy leaders or visiting with members, Moser was always a professional and had the best interest of the association and industry at heart."
Moser served in the executive capacity for 26 years - longer than any other executive in the association's history.
