BISMARCK -- A well site owned by Denbury Onshore in Bowman County about 6 miles south of Marmarth in Bowman County spilled about 213 barrels of sourced water, of which 33 barrels weren’t contained within the site.
The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) has been notified of the spill. Source water is used for enhanced oil recovery and is higher in dissolved solids and minerals than freshwater, according to a release. The spill was a result of a pipeline leak. The Department of Health is responding and is working with Denbury Onshore on remediation plans.
