Saltwater spill reported in McKenzie County

BISMARCK -- A saltwater spill at a site operated by Hillstone Environmental Partners, LLC in McKenzie County was reported to the North Dakota Department of Health at noon Wednesday.

BISMARCK -- A saltwater spill at a site operated by Hillstone Environmental Partners, LLC in McKenzie County was reported to the North Dakota Department of Health at noon Wednesday.

Initial estimates indicate approximately 800 barrels of brine water were released as a result of the spill.

No surface water has been impacted, according to a press release. However, the site will remain under investigation to further determine the impacts.

Personnel from the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division and the Department of Health are at the site monitoring the investigation.
