On Mon. Feb. 15, Market Press Coffee Company, located at 1740 Market Drive, near the city of Dickinson’s Public Safety Center, unofficially opened its doors to customers. Prior to Monday, Owner Aaron Grinsteinner said they had conducted a few service tests with friends and family, a week prior.
“Our first official day was Monday, we had a few friends and family drive through events last week just to kind of practice and then last Saturday, we had again an inside seating friend and family event,” said Grinsteinner
Beginning Thurs. Feb. 18 and lasting until Feb. 20, Market Press Coffee Co. will be hosting a grand opening event loaded with what may prove to be pleasant surprises for coffee aficionados.
Early birds get the worm however on Thursday, as an early customer will receive a free maple bar doughnut, also known as a long john doughnut with maple icing. The first 100 orders will come with the free doughnut of the day.
Grinsteinner confirmed this applied to both drive-through and dine-in orders.
Friday, all sandwich or wrap orders will come with a free cup of their homemade tomato dill or chicken noodle soup.
Saturday’s deal will be limited to dine-in customers only, but according to Grinsteinner customers who buy one signature drink get a second free, as long as the next drink is the same size. This deal applies for the first 75 customers of the day.
“...What we’re trying to do there (on Saturday), is encourage people to come in and see our space...we hope they can meet our staff and relax in our comfortable environment and really just experience the whole Market Press experience,” said Grinsteinner.
After Saturday, the grand opening festivities will end and the establishment will close briefly for Sunday before reopening from 5:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Customers can take their pick from a variety of food and drink offerings, such as the Salted Caramel Macchiato which, Grinsteinner said has been their best-selling drink item thus far, along with their Market Press.
Other favorites include blended drinks like the Market Scotcharoo, which is a blended chocolate, vanilla or peanut butter flavored drink with Isagenix protein powder and cold brew.
Market Minis, egg and cheese, plus a choice of either bacon or ham, wrapped in a flour tortilla, Grinsteinner said are the best-selling food item thus far.
Scrambled eggs are made from scratch, according to Grinsteinner who also touted their handcrafted grilled cheese sandwich. The sandwich is freshly made and contains three different kinds of cheese including parmesan, mozzarella and sharp cheddar.
Cozy food, quality coffee and an atmosphere to match are the main sources of the restaurant’s pride. Grinsteinner mentioned that the shop roasts its own coffee beans and has trained its staff to create an air of familiarity.
“Our goal is to have customer service that is second to none in town...any time someone comes into our drive-through or comes through our dining room, they’ll be greeted with a friendly smile. It’s really a goal of ours to really get to know our customers personally...to know them by name, know their order…,” Grinnsteiner said.
