WILLISTON, N.D. - A broken well head caused about 500 barrels, or 21,000 gallons, of saltwater to spill at a well site over the weekend, but the spill was contained and recovered, authorities said.
Zavanna LLC reported the spill that occurred Saturday at a saltwater disposal well about 7 miles east of Williston, the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division said.
A state inspector has been to the site.
