FARGO — A new study from a career website says North Dakota has the third most job opportunities per person in the United States.

The website, Lensa, said Wednesday, Oct. 20, that its study of internal job search data on the platform from January through June 2021 identified the national demand for work, with factors including in-demand job roles, industries hiring the most per state and states with the most job seekers.

Vermont was ranked first with 31,031 job opportunities per 100,000 people, followed by Iowa (26,983) and North Dakota (26,542). South Dakota was ranked seventh with 23,243 job opportunities per 100,000 people.

According to Lensa, the top 10 most in-demand jobs of 2021 are (from first through 10th) customer service representative, receptionist, administrative assistant, customer service, warehouse associate, registered nurse, warehouse, data entry clerk, driver and project manager.
