Mott Gallery hosting Salute to the Military
The Mott Gallery of History and Art, in conjunction with the North Dakota’s National Guard’s 816th Engineering Company, is hosting A Salute to the Military on Saturday, Aug. 15 at the gallery on Brown Avenue.
The program will include large and small military displays, flag presentation, speakers and music, followed by a free will picnic lunch in the park. Within the gallery there will be the archival newspaper stories and pictures of area men and women who have served, are serving or made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
The Mott Gallery of History and Art is inviting all veterans, should they have stories or military memorabilia they wish to house in their museum to be shared, to bring them. They should be tagged with names, addresses, phone numbers and military service information.
A registration table will be set up to receive the items that day. Should that veteran care to share his or her military experience, an interview date will be set up with them.
